Ashish Agarwal Gets Key Responsibility in BJP’s Central Media Department, Set to Take Charge in Delhi

Bhopal: 18 August 2026
Bhopal/New Delhi: With the announcement of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) new Central Executive Committee, discussions have intensified over Madhya Pradesh BJP media in-charge Ashish Agarwal being entrusted with a new and important organisational responsibility. Agarwal will now play an active role in the activities of the central organisation from the BJP’s central office on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg in New Delhi.
For nearly three years, Ashish Agarwal has been an important part of the Madhya Pradesh BJP’s media management. During this period, he effectively handled the party’s media strategy from the tenure of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government through the Dr. Mohan Yadav government, as well as from V.D. Sharma’s tenure as state BJP president to the tenure of Hemant Khandelwal.
Reward for Consistent Performance
Agarwal’s role in effectively presenting the BJP’s political and organisational programmes through the media has remained significant. His performance in strongly presenting the party’s position, coordinating with the media and effectively communicating the organisation’s message to the public is being regarded as a major basis for his new responsibility.
Agarwal, who hails from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, will now take charge as Co-Convenor in the BJP’s Central Media Department in Delhi. His move to the national organisation is being viewed not only as an important milestone in his political journey but also as an opportunity for the Madhya Pradesh BJP to present its views more effectively at the central level.
Madhya Pradesh BJP’s Media Team Expected to Benefit
Agarwal’s move to Delhi is also expected to benefit the Madhya Pradesh BJP’s media team. His presence in the central organisation could help establish better coordination between the state BJP and the party leadership in Delhi. It may also help the state put forward political and organisational issues concerning Madhya Pradesh more effectively at the national level.
Strong Organisational Connect Through an Accessible Style
Ashish Agarwal has been known within the BJP for his accessible, straightforward and communicative style. He is believed to have built strong contacts and a considerable presence within the organisation through his working style and sustained activity.
His supporters believe that the new responsibility in the national organisation will give Agarwal a broader platform to demonstrate his organisational capabilities. The assignment could open new dimensions in his political and organisational journey.
A New Sky in Delhi
Several prominent BJP leaders from Madhya Pradesh are already active in Delhi, holding important organisational and political positions. Against this backdrop, Agarwal’s new role in the central organisation is being viewed as the beginning of a larger political and organisational platform for him.
Having established his identity through his political journey from Gwalior to Bhopal, Delhi now marks a new chapter for Agarwal. The distance from Gwalior to Bhopal was never a challenge for him, and Delhi too now appears to be an equally natural destination.
Agarwal’s well-wishers believe that his new responsibility in the national organisation gives him a major opportunity to “spread his wings.” It remains to be seen how far the leader, who has carved out a distinct identity in Madhya Pradesh politics and media management, takes his role at the national level in the years ahead.
